Academic Year Program
At ROSS Leaders, we value education and the investment to ensure the academic success of our students through a holistic commitment inside and outside of the classroom.
Lincoln hosts a weekly program to provide a space for students to connect with their peers through a shared meal, homework help, college preparation, and a life skill session.
Summer Program
Recognizing the disparities in students enrolling in summer programs to help provide recreational fun and informative opportunities was low, Lincoln initiated the first ROSS Leaders summer program.
This program brings students together three times a week through programs dedicated to academics, career exploration, and Health & Wellness. Our summer program fosters development while cultivating relationships and community engagement.
College Tour & Molding Future Leaders Camp
To celebrate a successful summer program, Lincoln hosts the annual College Tour.
Marian Wright Edelman once said, “You can’t be what you can’t see.” We believe this holds especially true for all youth, especially in post-secondary education and workforce development.
Our tour provides students an opportunity to visualize and network with college admissions teams and visit schools. This initiative fosters curiosity for our students’ academic, professional, and personal pursuits. We have successfully hosted college tours in Chicago, IL, and Kansas City, Missouri.
Winter Wonderland Gala
Our community is constantly making great strides to empower youth and open doors to elevate ourselves into the place we deserve to be. The best way to celebrate is through our culture.
The Winter Wonderland Gala is an end-of-the-year event that celebrates our youth and chapter and includes an exhibition of South Sudanese culture, traditional performances, African attire, awards, live music, South Sudanese cuisine, and much more.
